Weird Lies You’ve Grown Up With
But What Do I Know?
The internet is filled to the brim with information. Some of it is solid, some of it questionable, but everyone can find the answer they want no matter how ludicrous that answer is. Just because someone claims that others claim that something is true doesn’t mean that it is. The following items are only a few of the things that I had heard while growing up, and back then, there was no way for me to conduct much research. It’s different now, so enjoy my research into the asinine.
Cow tipping
This one’s my favorite, and is why I started this ridiculous article with cow tipping. Cows weigh an average of 1,600 pounds. They stand on four hooves. Yeah, it’s hooves, not hoofs, like wolves, knives, wives, and lives.
Chris Farley already made fun of this in Tommy Boy. I’ll tell you right now what happened. Someone had gone snipe hunting; that’s when a group of kids take a kid they don’t like into the woods and tell him that there’s this flightless bird that’s attracted to light. They give him a flashlight, and tell him to shine it at an empty sack, which someone else is supposed to hold.
